Buenos Aires
Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires reminds me of two of my favourite cities in the world: Paris and New York. The city has the big city life and tall buildings like the Big Apple, and the architecture and lifestyle of Paris.
The city has become a major turist attraction and it is well worth a visit. Even though prices have risen during the past few years, it is still an increadibly cheap place to visit. What about a three course meal with high quality wine at a great restaurant for 30 US $? Or a 10 minute cab ride for 1-2 $? As it is located in the southern hemisphere, the seasons are reversed. When Americans and Europeans are freezing in the winter, it is a nice, warm, sunny summer in Buenos Aires. And even the winters in BA are mild, with an average temperature of around 15 C (60 F).
Buenos Aires has become a important cultural center. Culture has always been important here with theatres, art, music, handycraft etc. During the past few years it has also attracted an international crowd, boosting a lively cultural scene.
For accommodation and housing needs I would recommend Checkin Apartments, who provide lodging and relocation needs. They have great apartments in Buenos Aires to very reasonable prices, also available for holiday apartments and vacation homes and short and long term rentals. Also available for relocation purposes. All apartments are fully furnished.
